Dear Tana Forum friends, family and partners,
Greetings from the Tana Forum Secretariat, IPSS.
As you may be aware, Tana Forum has marked a niche for itself as an annual African security conference that brings together African Heads of State, former Heads of State, peace and security experts, representatives of international and national organisations, private sectors, CSOs, youth organisations, AU, UN, development partners and various other stakeholders on the same platform to discuss important, relevant, timely peace and security issues in a frank and informal setting.
The Secretariat has successfully implemented 9 (nine) editions of the Forum so far. And this year marks the tenth anniversary of the Forum. As such, even though the Tana Forum has been implemented in April each year, the Secretariat had to move the 9th Tana Forum (which took place last year) to October due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, preparations for this year’s Tana Forum are underway for the end of October 2021. Actual dates will be communicated in due course.
