The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) participated in the International Staff Exchange Week hosted by the University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco, from April 9–11, 2026. The institute joined leading universities from around the world to exchange insights on the future of higher education.
The event convened institutions including The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Concordia University, Cairo University, University of San Carlos, Civitas University, and University of Madagascar. Discussions focused on international collaboration, community engagement, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping academic and research ecosystems.
Representing IPSS, Ferial Zoheb, Policy Dialogues and Strategic Partnership Coordinator, actively engaged with partner institutions and contributed to discussions on research collaboration. She also presented IPSS’s work during a dedicated session on research funding, highlighting the Institute’s experience in mobilizing resources and advancing policy-relevant research. Zoheb emphasized that the experience was particularly timely, as the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence is key to navigating emerging pathways in academia and research.
IPSS’s participation reinforced its commitment to strengthening global academic partnerships and expanding opportunities for collaborative research and knowledge exchange.
