The MUCA Research Project has the objective of exploring the migration, urbanization and conflict nexus in nine African cities in Ethiopia, Uganda and Nigeria. The cities covered by the research are: Kampala, Kasese and Gulu in Uganda; Addis Ababa, Hawassa and Jigjiga in Ethiopia; and Lagos, Lokoja and Jos in Nigeria. The collaborating universities for the project are Addis Ababa University, the University of Lagos, Makerere University, and the University of Sheffield.

The workshop is part of the ongoing work under the project and is expected to serve as a platform to help participants deepen their understanding of the MUCA Research Project. It will continue until 29 April 2023.
