We are deeply saddened by the loss of Professor Andreas Esheté, whose visionary leadership and dedication to education and legal philosophy transformed the Addis Ababa University during his tenure. More specifically, for the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS), his innovative approach to dialogue played a crucial role in shaping the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa into its current form. His dedication to promoting peace and security across Africa left an indelible mark on the Forum, guiding its evolution into a pivotal platform for discussing and addressing the continent’s most pressing challenges.
Professor Esheté’s profound insights and unwavering commitment to fostering meaningful discussions on governance and security have made the Tana Forum what it is today. His contributions will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence future generations.
Professor Esheté, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy lives on in the work we continue to do. Rest in peace.
