The Institute for Peace and Security Studies has organized an Indaba Session on the theme ‘The National Dialogue: The Preferred Way to Perpetual Peace in Ethiopia’.

Ethiopia is passing through a long, tumultuous decade. The roots of these tribulations holding the country back from realizing brighter today and better futures have complex roots. One crucial process to help close the old chapters of acrimony and violent contestations, and welcome a chapter of peaceful and more civilized political interactions is planned to take place through the newly established National Dialogue Commission. The Commission was established on 13 January 2022 with Proclamation No. 1265/2021 and its eleven Commissioners sworn in on 21 February 2022.
