Outcomes of the 2022 AU Summit: What next for Africa’s peace and security?
The 35th AU Summit of the Head of States and Government, held from 5-6 February 2022 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, occurred against a backdrop of numerous governance, peace, security and economic challenges on the continent. The meeting, thus, discussed and took important decisions on a number of the issues including the state of governance, peace and security on the continent, and progress in the implementation of the Silencing the Guns in Africa Initiative.
