The Institute for Peace and Security Studies will host a Public Panel Debate on “Enhancing Denmark’s Partnership with African Countries” jointly with the Royal Danish Embassy in Addis Ababa. The debate will take place on the 25th of January 2024 from 03.30-05.30 PM (in the afternoon) at Ras Mekonnen Hall of Addis Ababa University. The panel debate will focus on the path towards a just and green transition in Africa, African solutions for peace and security – How the EU and Denmark can best support African efforts and global governance – a stronger voice for Africa. Moderated by Dr. Fonteh Aum, Executive Director of Institute of Security Studies (ISS), the Panel will be composed of H.E. Dan Jørgensen, Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy, H.E. Hanna Tetteh, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to the Horn of Africa, H.E. Albert Muchanga, Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission, Ms Chido Mpemba, Youth Envoy of the African Union Commission.
