Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) and Institute for Security Studies (ISS) are partnering to organise a pre-AU Summit Seminar on “39th AU Summit: APSA reforms amidst a Fraying Global Order” on 4th February 2026 at the Skylight Hotel (New Building), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm (EAT/GMT+3).

The seminar aims to provide a high-level platform for policy dialogue on the ongoing reforms of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), particularly in the context of evolving global geopolitical dynamics, emerging security threats, and the African Union’s efforts to enhance institutional effectiveness, subsidiarity, and sustainable financing for peace and security initiatives.
