The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) at Addis Ababa University invites applications from highly qualified translators individuals or firms to provide on-call professional translation services between English and French for the period 20 August to 15 December 2025.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 4 years’ proven professional translation experience (academic and policy-related fields preferred)
- Native or near-native fluency in both English and French
- Strong familiarity with peace, security, governance, and development-related terminology
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, high-quality translations within deadlines
Scope of Work:
The assignment will involve translating a wide range of IPSS materials including research publications, policy briefs, and press releases, training manuals, event documents, and formal agreements as well as conducting proofreading and quality assurance.
