The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) at Addis Ababa University cordially invites you to a briefing session titled “Energy Justice and Conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa: Does Fair Energy Access Promote Peace?”
This session will feature Dr. Brice Kamguia, ARUA 2026 Fellow, who will present his recent research on the relationship between energy justice and armed conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa. The presentation will be followed by critical reflections from our expert discussants:
- Fana Gebresenbet (PhD), Head of RVI’s Ethiopia Office, who will provide specific insights on the Ethiopian perspective.
- Emmanuel Y. Gbolonyo, School of Economics, University of Cape Town, South Africa.
The event aims to facilitate a rigorous exchange of ideas among policy analysts, academic researchers, and peacebuilding practitioners regarding the practical implications of energy justice for conflict prevention.
