The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) participated in the 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Board of Directors meeting of the African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA) on 30 January 2025 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The meeting reviewed APSTA’s activities from 2020 to 2024, addressed governance and institutional matters, and outlined the proposed programme plan for 2025. Discussions also covered financial and administrative updates, as well as strategic priorities for 2026–2030.
IPSS’s engagement reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration within APSTA and supporting efforts to enhance peacekeeping training and research across Africa. The AGM provided a platform for member institutions to assess progress and align their contributions with APSTA’s objectives.
A day before the meeting, IPSS joined fellow member institutions on a visit to the APSTA Secretariat in Yaoundé, reinforcing institutional ties and exploring opportunities for continued cooperation in advancing peace and security.
