SUMMARY:Operationalizing Conflict Prevention Under the Revised AU PCRD Framework
DESCRIPTION:Download: Agenda | Conceptnote \nThe event will focus on operationalizing conflict prevention under the newly revised AU PCRD framework to address emerging security realities and foster African-led peace approaches. Coinciding with the framework’s 20th anniversary\, the event will explore strategies to tackle the structural drivers of violence\, promote sustainable recovery\, and build long-term societal resilience. By dismantling institutional silos\, the discussion aims to design inclusive\, multi-sectoral prevention systems that seamlessly integrate community-led peacebuilding practices into national policies. Ultimately\, the gathering seeks to identify the necessary institutional and financial arrangements to translate early warnings and local risk assessments into proactive\, community-driven prevention mechanisms.
