On 2 February 2022, H.E. Mrs. Yaprak Alp, Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union, briefed the IPSS Ph.D. students on Turkish foreign policy toward Africa, with a focus on Ethio-Turkish ties. H.E. Yaprak spoke on the primary areas of Turkish engagement in Africa and Ethiopia, such as commerce, investment, infrastructure, and education, all of which she said should be expanded in the next year.
